The Problem

A Matthews resident purchased this used Nissan Altima from an online auction only to discover a severe mildew smell once the car arrived. A previous water leak through the trunk seal had allowed moisture to soak into the trunk carpet and rear seat padding. • Trunk carpet removal and inspection of mildew damage

• Hot water extraction with anti-fungal solution on all carpets
• HVAC system flush with antibacterial fogger
• Ozone generator treatment for 3 hours with sealed cabin
• Replacement of cabin air filter
• Final inspection and odor-free verification

The Results

The mildew smell was completely eradicated from the Altima. The trunk area was treated and dried thoroughly, the HVAC system was flushed clean, and the extended ozone treatment neutralized every trace of the musty odor. The new owner could finally enjoy the car they bought without rolling down the windows.
