The Problem

A Providence family had been driving their Hyundai Palisade with two large huskies for over a year, and the shedding had reached a breaking point. Thick undercoat fur covered every cloth surface from the headrests to the cargo floor. The second and third rows were the worst — clumps of white and grey fur had worked into the seat fabric weave so deeply that home vacuuming barely made a difference. The fur had also migrated into the seat belt retractors, door panel pockets, and the channels around the sliding cup holders. Beyond the hair, a distinct wet dog smell had set into the cloth seats and carpet padding from rainy day walks. • Industrial-grade vacuum extraction with upholstery attachment across every surface
• Detail brushing of headrests and seat seams where fur was woven in
• Rear window and headrest drool mark cleaning with glass and fabric cleaner
• Hot water extraction of all cloth seats and carpet with enzyme-based cleaner for odor
• Cargo area carpet extraction and deodorizing treatment
• Cabin air freshener treatment to neutralize remaining pet smell

The Results

The Palisade was completely transformed. Every trace of husky fur was removed from the seats, cargo area, and all the hidden spots where it had accumulated — including the seat belt mechanisms and cup holder rails. The drool marks were cleaned from the windows and headrests, and the enzyme extraction pulled the wet dog smell out of the fabric and padding at the source. The owner said they had considered trading the car in because of the fur situation, but after seeing the results, that conversation was off the table. Charlotte's humidity had made the fur extra stubborn, but the right tools and techniques got every last strand.
